Local churches offering Thanksgiving meals

Several local churches — Ninth Street Baptist, Fishery Community, Grace Methodist, Centenary Methodist and North Ridge Church — will prepare Thanksgiving meals for the needy, shut-in and senior adults.

Meals will be prepared and delivered on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.  

Anyone in need of a meal is asked to call Ninth Street Baptist Church at (423) 743-7551. Please provide a name, address, phone number and directions to the person’s home. Reservations for meals need to be made by noon on  Wednesday, Nov. 24.


Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Erwin is also preparing a Thanksgiving meal at no cost for those widowed, living alone or who otherwise would not have a Thanksgiving meal. 

Carry-out plates and delivery will be available on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25, at the church between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
