Bike ride to benefit Mountain Harvest Kitchen

From Staff Reports

Join RunCorps and the Town of Unicoi for a Metric Century Bike Ride through the beautiful east Tennessee mountains on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The course will have some small climbs and really nice payoffs. Riders will receive a T-shirt, ride support and door prizes. Riders will also get to sample products from local farms while on course. The ride will conclude with a Farm to Table Lunch featuring products from the local farms of Unicoi County.

This ride is to bring awareness to the Mountain Harvest Kitchen, a commercial kitchen to support the regional economy in value-added agriculture, nutrition, and community development. For more information on the Mountain Harvest Kitchen visit www.unicoitn.net.

Race will begin at 8 a.m. at the Tourist Information Center (106 Unicoi Village Place). To register for the race, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mountain-harvest-metric-tickets-26933081572.
