Louis McNabb, age 79, of Erwin, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home. Louis is a native of Erwin and a son of the late Charlie and Gertrude (Stanley) McNabb. He was a member of Omega Baptist Church and a former employee of the Unicoi County Highway Department. He was a veteran of the United States Army and he enjoyed coon hunting, upholstery work, cattle and farming. In addition to his parents, Louis is preceded in death by brothers: James McNabb, Charles McNabb, Leland McNabb and Donald McNabb.

 

Louis McNabb has left behind to cherish his memory:

Son: Michael McNabb and wife, Jessica, of Nashville;

Grandsons: Clay McNabb and wife, Whitney, of Erwin;

Chase McNabb, of Erwin;

Great-grandson: Brady Clayton McNabb, of Erwin;

Sisters: Barbara Ann Corey of Greeneville, SC;

Imogene Fleming, of Indian Harbor Beach, FL;

Several much loved nieces and nephews.

 

The family would like to offer their appreciation to special niece, Jan McNabb, who gave many hours of loving care to her uncle.

 

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Louis McNabb in a visitation to be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Eulogy will be provided by Barbara Ann Corey, as well as family and friends. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery.  Those attending will meet at the cemetery by 11:20 AM for the service. Those serving as pallbearers will be Clay McNabb, Chase McNabb, Gary McNabb, Charles Lee McNabb, Ronald English and Bob Hampton. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Powers and Chris White.
