Board moving in the right direction with Wellmont
It’s good to see that the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital board of control is moving forward to learn more about a possible partnership with Kingsport-based Wellmont Health System.

Board members voted last week to come up with a list of questions that will be presented to Chief Executive Officer Jim Pate at the board’s May meeting. Pate, apparently, will compile these questions and, hopefully, come up with the next step in the process.

Board member Dr. Jay Colinger came prepared last week and even handed out an outline of needed discussion. More...
