Melissa “Missy” Warrick Robinson -
Melissa “Missy” Warrick Robinson, age 41 of Belhaven, N.C., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, February 16, 2015. Missy was born in Washington County and lived in Unicoi County until age 19, and married Chris Robinson then they moved to N. C. Missy is a daughter of Peggy Love Warrick of Erwin and the late Charles Warrick. She loved art, sports, home decorating, crafts, cooking and taking care of her family and her bulldog “Mikey”. Missy attend First Assembly of God. In addition to her father, Missy is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: John and Mamie Love, paternal grandparents: John and Mary Warrick, son: Christopher Charles Robinson, daughter: Mimi Love Robinson, brother: Michael Charles Warrick, mother-in-law: Rena Robinson, father-in-law: Bob Robinson, first cousin: Tim McInturff, brother-in-law: Teddy Scott and Missy’s and her daughter Madison’s special cat: Smokey Robinson.

Rosa Verona McNalley -
Rosa Verona McNalley, age 86, 604 Washington Street, Erwin, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was bo rn in Gallipoli, Italy and had lived in Unicoi County since 1946. Mrs. McNalley was a daughter of the late Antonio and Cosima Verona. She was a homemaker and a member of the Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. McNalley was a member of the Clinchfield Senior Citizens and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Stallard McNalley in 2006; three brothers: Sebastino, Francesso and Victoria Verona; and one sister, Nucci Tricarico.

William George Cooper, Jr. -
William George Cooper, Jr., age 83, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the Center on Aging and Health. He was a native of Worcester, MA and a son of the late William George Cooper, Sr. and Jennie Belle Nicklen Cooper. Mr. Cooper graduated Clark University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for the United Sates Government in the Defense Intelligence Agency. William served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Cooper was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Erwin, TN. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Cooper in 2012 and a sister, Lorraine Burnett.

Donnie R. Burns -
Donnie R. Burns, 63, of Erwin, TN, and Bryson City, NC passed away February 19, 2015 after a short illness, in Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Fannie Burns of Bryson City and the late Gainey William Burns. He worked many years at Smokemont Riding Stables and loved to read, camp and travel.

Ronnie J. Hyder -
Ronnie J. Hyder, age 64, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015, at his residence. He was a native of Unicoi County and a son of Helen Pyron Hyder of Erwin and the late J. H. Hyder. Ronnie retired from Bosch as supervisor, and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had been attending Faith Baptist Church, He was a member of Centennial Lodge # 491, and served in the U. S. Army National Guard.

Byron Scott Peterson -
Byron Scott Peterson, age 50, 170 Brown Lane, Erwin passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and the son of Morris Glenn and Pauline J. Hensley Peterson. Byron was a former employee of Eastman, worked in restaurant management, was an electrician and a skilled auto mechanic. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. Other than his parents, Byron leaves behind to cherish his memory one sister, Cheri M. Peterson Arthur and husband, David of Raleigh, NC; two nephews: Joseph Glenn Arthur of Palo Alto, CA and Aaron Arthur of Raleigh, NC. Several Uncles, Aunts and cousins also survive.
